About

Climate change. Coastal overfishing. Biodiversity loss. The most pressing environmental challenges of our time share one thing in common—to solve them, people must start behaving differently.

The Center for Behavior & the Environment is translating science into practice and leveraging the best behavioral insights and design thinking approaches to tackle some of the most challenging environmental issues. Through partnerships with leading academic and research institutions, we are bringing the research into the field to connect the next generation of behavioral scientists with practitioners on the front lines of our greatest environmental challenges.

Meet the team

Women are often under-represented as experts in the environmental and behavioral sciences. The BE.Center participates in the Owen Pledge, committing not to serve on any public panel of two people or more unless there is at least one woman on the panel, not including the Chair.
