Nikita seeks opportunities to enhance efficiency and operational excellence for the BE.Center team. She leads financial management activities, including budget development, management, and reporting, in collaboration with the Vice President and the Finance department. Additionally, she oversees the Center’s non-grant revenue pipeline in Salesforce.
Her role also encompasses business management, where she identifies and implements process improvements, manages contracts and financial documents, and ensures compliance with Rare’s standards. Prior to joining Rare, Nikita was the Program and Operations Manager at Climate Analytics, where she worked on strategy development, operations policies, compliance, recruiting, and budgeting. She has also held roles in accounting and web design.
She holds a master’s degree in Marine Science and Management from the University of Sydney and a B.S. in Ecology and Evolution from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
When she’s not working towards a new physical strength goal, Nikita can be found combing through food blogs and trying new recipes. A behavior change she’s passionate about is getting at least 30 min of outside movement a day.
