Rare, Global Development
Manager, Global Development
Berlin, Germany

Sam works with Rare’s China Centre for Behavior project managing ‘Pride on our Plates’ – an innovative project that seeks to tackle food waste amongst MSME’s in China through the application of behaviour-centred design. Prior to joining Rare, Sam was working at a food awareness organisation, with responsibility for the project management of a Horizon 2020 funded project, alongside helping the organisation strengthen their efforts in working alongside corporate partners from across the food industry. Originally from the UK, Sam brings experience in managing international, non-profit projects funded by both European and UK donors. Sam holds a B.Sc. from the University of Surrey and is based in Berlin.

A behavior Sam wishes more people would adopt would be to properly sort and recycle their trash… so much so that he’s now known to assess and critique the strengths and weaknesses of his friend’s bin set-up whenever visiting.
