Rare, Center for Behavior & the Environment
Community Engagement Lead
Arlington, VA

Madhuri builds and grows audiences for behavior-centered design. She is responsible for expanding and strengthening the BE. Center’s network of practitioners, academics, policymakers and students in the environmental field; co-developing content with team members, and improving learners’ experiences on this virtual learning platform.

At the BE. Center as an American Council of Learned Societies-Mellon Public Fellow, Madhuri has taught social theory and ethnographic methods to undergraduates in three countries, worked with indigenous social movements in eastern India, and hosts a monthly podcast on emerging voices in South Asian non-fiction.

She strongly recommends leveraging behavioral insights for chore management with housemates. Public praise for a sparkling counter keeps the counter sparkling!
