Jennifer Shin is the Operations Manager for the Global Solutions team at Rare. In this role, Jennifer leads financial management activities, including budget development, tracking, and reporting, in close collaboration with the Global Solutions Senior Vice President and Finance department. She also supports key business operations functions, from streamlining processes to managing contracts and financial documentation, helping to ensure efficiency and compliance across the team.
Prior to joining Rare, Jennifer worked on USAID- and State Department-funded global education and M&E programs. She began her career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkmenistan and later worked as a math teacher in a range of settings, including a New York City public school, a state prison, and a university in Malawi.
Jennifer holds an MA in International Education Policy from Stanford University, an MS in Math Education from City College of New York, and a BA in International Relations from Boston University. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband, son, and two pups.
